In my current role, I lead the design organization for Schibsted's central IT organization, Data & Tech. The focus is on the product portfolio that provides the Schibsted group's approximately 60 brands with login services, account administration and payment flows for Schibsted's over 21 million registered users across the Nordic region.
I work closely with the Product director and the Engineering director to set vision, strategy and goals for the organisation, as well as lead the central design team's work and development.
We also develop and maintain Schibsted's central design system.
As Head of Design, I led a cross-functional strategic design & innovation team, with twelve designers, software developers and business developers, distributed across the Nordics that I built from the ground up with my team since 2018.
A large part of my work was coaching my team as it engaged with other design and product teams throughout the whole organization of 24 000 employees. When we spearheaded design and innovation projects we combined design methodology with a structured innovation process.
We also developed and maintained the central design system for Tietoevry, as well as engaging in branding, marketing, storytelling and general visual design.
In my role as Product Manager and Chief Designer I was in charge of managing our Nordic solutions for the school-sector as well as strengthening the UX vision and practice across all parts of the Tietoevry Education brand. (Tietoevry was called Tieto at this time, but I use Tietoevry for clarity.)
As Product Manager, leading the portfolio's Product Owners with their cross-functional teams, a key to success was being able to set a clear vision and strategy and communicate that with all the product stakeholders as well as developers, designers, finance and marketing specialists that are involved in creating successful products. This was part of my everyday responsibilities, including working with teams of different cultures in Sweden, Norway, Finland and India.
Agile Product management.
My mission was to lead two product teams in developing a new efficient and easy-to-use product for teachers as they monitor, assess and communicate the development of their students.
I worked with concepts and requirement analysis for Tietoevry’s Learning platform product, close to our customers and in-house experts, with emphasis on usability and user experience.
Implementation and management of a learning platform for elementary schools.
Developing the school's use of ICT in education.
Testing and evaluating newly released childrens' recreation and edutainment games with end users.
